Along with the zipline and horseback riding, Dawn of Hope has many other adventures that you and your crew can experience! There is no shortage of things to do! What will you try first?
Disc Golf
Disc Golf Description-Explore the Rockies by making your best shots on Dawn of Hope’s wooded nine-hole course. Tight shots and a water hazard will challenge you as well as a rugged mountain terrain. There is no wading or swimming allowed in the pond. Unfortunately, if it goes in the pond then please count it as lost.
Rounds start at $5.00 per person. Rental discs are available at the front desk upon check-in. Please note that during active ziplining, holes one and two will be closed or timed appropriately.
Fishing and Hiking
Fishing and hiking at Dawn of Hope offers a down-to-earth experience that is sure to connect our visitors with the land or, in this case, the water! Pay the $7 fee at the front desk and rent a pole for 5$ there as well! Our pond is freshly stocked each summer with rainbow trout, and fishing is open to all visitors. Whether you’re visiting for the day or you’re here as a guest, all Dawn of Hope visitors are welcome to enjoy fishing, swimming, and even exploring the muddy banks of our pond that sits against the breathtaking backdrop of the Colorado Rockies.
For hiking fun, we have a small trail around the property and we have direct access to the Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument Park. Check out their website here for pass information and more. Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument (U.S. National Park Service) (nps.gov)
While certain aspects of the ranch are dependent on seasonal changes, we at Dawn of Hope are open year round and invite you to celebrate and revel in God’s glory spring, summer, fall and winter! Each season brings a unique gift to appreciate with fresh eyes of hope and wonder. In fact, the beautiful and distinct different seasons are one of the many reasons our state is so beloved, and we aren’t even (too) biased.
Volleyball and Gaga
Pick a team, play a game, find your fun! Dawn of Hope offers recreational spaces to accommodate groups of all sizes. Casual team play on our sandpit volleyball court is available to our visitors at no additional cost. GaGa pit access also offers a fun and friendly option for teams of three or more.
Outdoor games and activities are sure to entertain and delight visitors of all ages. Organized groups or visiting families will find our welcoming atmosphere to be inclusive and welcoming for players of all ages and levels.
Be sure to stop by Wild Horses Cafe for some drinks, food, and a great view to play some volleyball and gaga ball!
