Fresh mountain air, scenic trails, and room to pause. Hiking at Dawn of Hope Ranch is an invitation to step away from the everyday and enjoy the beauty of God’s creation. Explore the trails on our property or make the ranch your starting point for discovering the surrounding parks and forests.
Explore the Ranch

Some of the best moments of your visit can begin right here at Dawn of Hope. Our on-property trails offer beautiful scenic views and opportunities to experience the mountain setting beyond your doorstep. Lace up your hiking shoes, bring your camera, and see what catches your eye along the way.
Make an outing of it with family and friends, or set aside time for prayer and reflection. Whether you’re sharing a conversation or pausing to take in the view, a little time outdoors can become a meaningful part of your visit.
Our trails welcome overnight guests, retreat groups, and day visitors alike. You don’t have to plan a full day away to enjoy the outdoors. Leave a little room in your schedule to explore the ranch and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us.
Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument

Our property adjoins Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, where the landscape offers a fascinating connection between Colorado’s ancient past and its present-day beauty. Twin Rock Trail features open meadows, aspen groves, and distinctive rock formations, with opportunities to watch for signs of wildlife along the way.
For those who enjoy learning as they explore, consider pairing your hike with a stop at the visitor center. Fossil exhibits help tell the story of a very different Florissant, while petrified redwood stumps elsewhere in the monument offer a glimpse of the forest that once grew here.
An entrance pass is required for visitors ages 16 and older; children 15 and under are admitted free. Stop by the monument’s visitor center for pass information and help planning your visit, or consult the National Park Service website before setting out.

With an extensive network of trails, Mueller offers plenty of options for planning an outing around your interests and available time. Visit the park’s website for trail maps, entrance information, and current conditions to help you choose your route.
The Crags in Pike National Forest
